Douglas Steel, a steel service center located in Vernon, California, has purchased another High Speed Multi-Cut Blanking Line from Red Bud Industries.
Douglas Steel is committed to being one of the premier west coast suppliers of precision blanks, and this commitment is further shown by their addition of another Red Bud High Speed Multi-Cut Blanking Line that incorporates the Bradbury Hydraulic Leveler featuring their “Flat Trak™” System.
The new line features Red Bud’s High Speed “Dual Action” Servo Controlled Grip Feed System. This system is capable of producing parts with length tolerances of ±.005" (.127 mm) and production rates reaching 400 FPM (122 MPM). downloaded from the line’s PLC. As each set of knives is positioned,horizontal clearances are automatically set. Once positioned, the Slitter’s arbors are expanded, locking the knives into position. Typical Slitter set up takes about two minutes per cut. This unique Slitter allows the line to process multiple back-to-back multi-blanking jobs without the need for multiple Slitter Heads or additional set up personnel. This line also features an automatic CNC Positioning Stacker. While the Slitter is setting up, the strip dividers are automatically positioned and locked into place.
The 60" (1,524 mm) wide, 1/4" (6.35 mm) line consists of a Coil Car, Uncoiler, Bradbury Hydraulic Leveler with “Flat Trak™” System, Pop Up Inspection Table, Dual Action Grip Feed, Expandable Arbor Slitter, Single Point Adjustable Shear, and a combination Drop/Strip/Air Flotation Stacker with a Pallet Loader and Discharge Conveyors.
