Red Bud Industries has completed the installation of a new SCS Coil Line at JDM Steel Service, Inc. in Chicago Heights, Illinois. It’s the second SCS Coil Line installed in the United States.

A SCS Coil Line brings proven SCS cost, quality, and environmental advantages to mills, intermediary processors (picklers and tubers), service centers, and toll processors. This patented process leaves material with a smooth, clean, rust resistant, and paintable

surface. In addition to SCS, the line has proven to have significant shape conditioning capabilities. Through the use of high strip tension, coils with severe shape can be dramatically improved.

The new JDM line consists of a Coil Stage & Load System, Uncoiler, Heavy Gage Peeler, Crop Shear, Butech Leveler, Edge Trim, Drag Tensioner System, SCS Cleaning Unit, Air Knives, Alignment System, Recoiler, and Coil Removal/Banding Station.
