Morton Manufacturing Company of Libertyville, Illinois, originally bought their first Red Bud Line in 1975. “Since that time, the line had served us well,” states Jeff Covert, Morton’s President. “We have always felt the line produced the best tolerances in the industry. This was important to us when we decided to buy the new line.”

After 33 years of service, Morton recently replaced their original line with a new.135" (3.43 mm) Red Bud. Morton manufactures various anti-slip walking surfaces for their customers in the railroad and industrial markets.

The new line consists of a Coil Lift, Peeler Breaker, Straightener, Support Ramp, Edge Trim, Scrap Chopper, “Hands Free” Thread System, Dual Motor Grip Feed, Shear, Drop Stacker, and Automatically Lowering Stack Table.
