| NUCOR INSTALLS RED BUD CUT-TO-LENGTH LINE AT BUILDING SYSTEM’S FACILITY |
Nucor Corporation has installed a .375" (9.52 mm) Red Bud Cut-To-Length Line at their building system’s facility in Brigham City, Utah. The system will be used primarily to supply steel sheet material for metal building components.
Nucor’s Red Bud Industries Cut-To-Length Line produces sheets up to 30' (9.14 m) long from coils weighing up to 50,000 lb (22680 kg). The system features a Traversing Scissor Lift Table that can discharge sheets to a Multi-Positional Stack Storage System or to one of two Rollout Tables situated under a Two Position Gantry Crane that directly supplies two downstream plasma cutters. The system also features a “Pop-Top” Precision Straightener that automatically opens like a book to allow total access to the work rolls and backups to simplify cleaning and maintenance.

• The new 75" (1905 mm) wide line consists of a Coil Lift, Uncoiler, Peeler Breaker, “Pop-Top” Precision Straightener, Heavy Gage Shear, Stack Table, and an Advanced Stack and Unload System.
