Red Bud Industries SCS® Lines are available in either sheet or coil-to-coil configurations.
SCS is hot rolled black material which has been taken through an environmentally friendly
process using engineered abrasive rolls and water to produce a “napkin clean”, smooth, rust
resistant surface. The
heart of the SCS process is the brushing unit. On either system the material passes through
a series of engineered abrasive rolls. The clearance between the upper and lower rolls is set
slightly less than the thickness of the material. The rolls spin at a high rate of speed in the
opposite direction to the travel of the material. As the material passes through the rolls,
scale is removed until a layer only a few microns thick remains.

The unique oil free and rust resistant material produced by the process could be considered a new product. Manufacturers using SCS have found it solves many issues and problems related to using materials such as HRS,
HR P & O, and in some instances CRS. It has also reduced costs by allowing products to be manufactured from more economical materials.
